Charly Porcher is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. His research focuses on the economics of migration and urban economics. His dissertation on the role of information frictions in internal migration decisions in Brazil received the Best Student Paper Prize at the 2020 Urban Economics Association’s conference. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University. Prior to joining Georgetown in 2021, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Dartmouth College.
