Dr.Huang is Director of the National Poverty Alleviation Training and Communication Center under the State Council Leading Group Office for Poverty Alleviation and Development. He is concurrently a part-time professor and PhD tutor at Wuhuan University and Huazhong Normal University, and also a part-time professor at several other universities. Dr. Huang has been working on poverty alleviation theory and practice, as well as administration for many years, with extensive experience and achievements. In the last few years, Dr. Huang chaired about 50 studies including studies supported by the National Social Science Fund, commissioned by various government ministries, and for international organizations. Dr. Huang has been involved in policy research and development of national policies on poverty alleviation, particularly the design of the targeted poverty alleviation strategy. He has published more than 100 papers in national, provincial or ministerial journals, authored or co-authored 25 books, and acted as chief editor of 45 publications in the area of poverty reduction and development, winning a number of awards of excellence.
