Chenjerai Sisimayi is a Health Specialist Consultant with the Health, Nutrition and Population (HNP) Unit of the World Bank Group based in Harare, Zimbabwe Country Office. His role includes the supervision of the World Bank’s flagship support to the Results Based Financing Program in Zimbabwe, input to technical assistance in the health sector and ongoing engagement in policy and health sector strategy dialogue with Government and development partners.
Chenjerai has 15 years of demonstrated experience in program monitoring and evaluation, development research and technical assistance in the health sector having consulted extensively for Government, UN and Bi-lateral Agencies prior to joining WBG. His main interests are in Health Systems Strengthening, Health Financing, Operations Research as well as Big Data and Machine Learning for epidemiological inquiry. Chenjerai is a holder of an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology, a BSc Honours Degree (Statistics) and a BSc General Degree (Statistics and Mathematics) from the University of Zimbabwe. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies with a focus on application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in epidemiology with the University of Johannesburg, SA.
