Chiara Broccolini is a consultant at the World Bank, currently working with the Poverty and Equity team in the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region. Her work focuses on gender, labor markets, and social inclusion, with a particular emphasis on identifying and addressing gender gaps in economic participation, financial and digital inclusion, and care responsibilities. She has contributed to Country Gender Assessments in the Western Balkans, regional gender diagnostics, and the development of gender data dashboards and country profiles aligned with the World Bank Group Gender Strategy.

Previously, she worked with the World Bank’s Gender Group, where she supported the launch of the Accelerate Equality initiative, led statistical work for the retrospective publication, and contributed to knowledge-sharing initiatives, including Learning Weeks, newsletters, and the update of the Gender Strategy 2024–2030. She has co-authored several knowledge products, including the forthcoming regional report Unleashing Potential in ECA, a regional note on childcare and long-term care constraints in the ECA region, and a working paper on gender bias in SME lending in Turkey. She also supported the Human Capital Project, contributing to trust fund financial reporting and event-based knowledge management.

Chiara holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Ancona and has published in peer-reviewed journals on labor markets, development finance, and education.
