Chijioke Okoro, is a Senior Health Specialist based in the World Bank office in Abuja, Nigeria, where he leads engagements in Immunization Financing, the COVID-19 operation and Health Security. Chijioke represents the World Bank on the multi-partner Malaria Vaccine Coordination Team co-led by WHO and Gavi. He was a focal person for the support to the Polio eradication effort in Nigeria.
Before joining the Bank, Chijioke worked as a Public Health Analyst with the Division of Global HIV/AIDS, US CDC, Atlanta; as Senior Technical Advisor with Family Health International, and Actionaid International Nigeria. Chijioke was a Hubert Humphrey Fellow at Emory University, Atlanta, and holds a DrPH in Global Health from Boston University.
