Chris Fischer is a Senior Water Resources Management Specialist for the World Bank with over 15 years of experience in Water Management, Drought and Flood Risk Management in Latin America and Europe. Based in Bucharest, Romania he currently manages the RO Floods Project, a World Bank Technical Assistance to strengthen the Romania’s capacities for integrated Flood Risk Management. In Latin America Chris led analytical work and provided operational support to World Bank financing operations in river basin management, drought and flood risk management, irrigation, and climate change adaption. Prior to joining the World Bank, Chris worked as an adviser for Water Resources Management for the German Agency for International Cooperation GIZ in the Dominican Republic and in Bolivia. Chris holds a MSc in Hydrology from the University of Freiburg in Germany.
