CHRISTEL VERMEERSCH is a Senior Economist in the Health, Nutrition and Population Unit in the Human Development Network. She coordinates a network of 28 impact evaluations around Results-based financing in Health, and has been working on impact evaluation in the education and health sectors since 2001. Christel holds an M.A. in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp, Belgium and a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University. Before joining the World Bank in 2004 as a Young Professional, Christel was a Post-doctoral Prize Research Fellow at Oxford University. She co-authored the book "Impact Evaluation in Practice" as well as the new "Impact Evaluation Toolkit for Health.
