Christian De la Medina Soto is an Expert in Private Sector Development and a Regulatory Specialist in the Finance, Competitiveness and Innovation Unit (FCI). Before joining the FCI, De la Medina Soto worked on several World Bank projects, including Doing Business; cross-border investment; comparative assessment of public procurement; Women, Business and Law; and in the Financial Inclusion Department. He was also a foreign legal expert in the Legal Department of the Inter-American Development Bank and in Tobin & Munoz and Moarbes, LLP, in Washington, D.C. He also served as secretary of the Federal Court of Mexico. He holds a master’s degree in international legal studies from American University, Washington College of Law (LL.M.); a master’s degree in political science from the Colegio de Abogados of Madrid, Spain; and a licentiate degree in law from Mexico’s Universidad Anáhuac.
