Christin McConnell is an Education Specialist in the Education Global Practice of the World Bank Group. She joined the World Bank in 2010 as part of the Africa education team. While based in Malawi from 2010-2013, Christin worked on education initiatives and evaluations in the areas of early childhood development, primary teacher training, and secondary school scholarships and cash transfers. She supports operations and analytical work spanning from early childhood to secondary education in Lesotho, Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Afghanistan, and Lebanon. Prior to joining the Bank, she worked on a range of education and youth development issues while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bulgaria, supporting a girls scholarship NGO in Malawi, and teaching in Norway. Christin holds a Masters degree from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelors degree from Harvard University.
