Christine Montgomery leads digital communications for the World Bank. As a manager in External and Corporate Relations, she is responsible for the oversight and governance of the Bank’s external social, mobile and web platforms. Her team serves as the Bank’s Center of Excellence for digital strategy, multimedia content development, social media engagement and analytics.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Christine was a news executive, helping lead the digital transformation of some of the country’s most respected media brands, including PBS.org, USATODAY.com and the Center for Public Integrity. She is past president of the Online News Association, the largest organization of online journalists in the world. She holds degrees in journalism and writing from the University of Florida and Johns Hopkins University.
