Christophe Lemiere is the Program Leader for Human Development for Vietnam, covering areas such as education, social protection, jobs, gender, health, nutrition and population.
Before joining the Bank in 2007, Christophe worked as a hospital manager in Europe. Within the Bank, he has advised clients in more than 30 countries (Africa, Eastern Europe, and East Asia) on a diverse span of human development topics, ranging from restructuring entire hospital sectors to enhancing girls’ empowerment.
Prior to the current assignment, Christophe was based in Mali, where he led the Human Development portfolio in Sahel and designed the Bank-wide strategy to address fragility drivers in this sub-region.
Christophe is a graduate from the French National School of Public Health (MPH), University of Paris (Msc in health economics) and Harvard University, USA (MBA).
