Claudia Biancotti joined Banca d’Italia in 2002. She currently heads the Digital Integration sector in the International Economics Department. Her research centers on the nexus between economics and national security, with emphasis on emerging risks in the digital sphere. Claudia was a seconded national expert at the European Central Bank in 2009-2011, and a visiting fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in 2018-2019.
