Claudia Costin, a Brazilian national, was the Senior Director for Education at the World Bank between July 2014 and June 2016. She currently works for the Innovation and Excellence in Education Policies think tank.
She has consulted on public policies and state modernization for the governments of Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, and Sao Tome and Principe. Claudia’s work in education includes the launch of the Brazilian civil society movement Todos pela Educação where she is a member of the Technical Committee.
She has held several positions in academia, including at the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Getúlio Vargas Foundation, INSPER Institute of Education and Reserach, and École Nationale d’Administration Publique (ENAP) in Québec. She has a Master’s in Economics and a Bachelor’s in Public Administration from the Escola de Administracao de Empresas de São Paulo of the Fundacao Getulio Vargas.
