Marcela Ponce leads the Climate Finance Program of IFC’s Financial Institutions Group in Latin America and the Caribbean, same region where she coordinates the Sustainable Banking Network. In her professional journey during and prior to IFC in Latin America and Europe, she has supported financial entities in sustainable development, governments in the definition of regulatory frameworks that promote sustainability, worked in the planning of Zero Carbon real estate projects and facilitated public-private dialogue to develop and expand knowledge and technical capacities in sustainable development. Marcela has an MBA and MSc in Sustainability Leadership from Cambridge and has a diploma in Climate Change: Economy and Governance from LSE.
