Colin Finan is the Director of Government Relations and Business Development for IWasPoisoned.com/DineSafe.org. His responsibilities include overseeing relationships with public health officials, industry clients and journalists. Prior to taking this position, Colin was the manager of the food safety program at The Pew Charitable Trusts, which played a major role in pressing the U.S. Congress to pass the landmark FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) in 2010. In the following years, he was involved in crafting seven major rules as part of FSMA implementation, helped secure sufficient funding for the work and continued to weigh in on many issues pertaining to the law. Colin began his career covering public health issues in New Mexico and he holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Wisconsin.
