Collen Masunda is a Senior Specialist in the SME Finance Solutions and Impact unit of the Financial Services Sector, World Bank Group. In this role, he supports investment, upstream, and advisory innovations aimed at advancing financial inclusion for marginalized segments. His role includes the design of lending instrument product innovations such as de risking and climate resilience products, as well as support for investment transaction processing. He also provides advisory and technical assistance on credit information sharing and data based lending. He currently serves as Secretariat of the International Committee on Credit Reporting (ICCR), the only recognized standard setting body in credit reporting.

He has over a decade of prior experience in bank due diligence and analysis, risk management, fintech, central banking and financial inclusion covering bank & non-bank supervision, and financial sector policy formulation and implementation. 

Collen is a Humphrey Fellow (Fulbright Leadership Initiative) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Virginia Darden School of Business (academic achievement award), Master of Commerce in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business (summa cum laude) and a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree (summa cum laude). He is a Chartered Certified Accountant and Chartered Development Finance Analyst. He also holds Graduate certificates in Applied Business Analytics and Project Management from Boston University and Data Science and Machine Learning: Making Data Driven Decisions Certificate from MIT.
