Courtney Ivins is a Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank, based in Brazil. She has over a decade of experience in health, public policy, and project management. She joined the World Bank in 2015 and was hired through the Young Professionals Program. Courtney has led operations and analytical work on a range of topics, including health service delivery, quality of care, digital health, and pandemic preparedness and response. Prior to the World Bank, Courtney worked with the United Nations (UNESCO) in Tanzania. She holds a bachelor’s in foreign service from Georgetown University, and a master’s in public health from Imperial College London. She also has a master’s in social development from Pontifícia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro, where she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship for her research on women’s use of digital technologies to improve public services in favelas.
