Salvatore Consolo is a Transport Analyst (Junior Professional Associate) in the Transport Unit of the Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region, based in Vienna, Austria. He primarily works on safe and sustainable transport programs in the Western Balkans. Before joining the World Bank, he worked with the Sustainable Transport Division of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), as well as with various think tanks and research institutions, collaborating with the Italian Ministry of Transport and the U.S. Embassy in Italy. Salvatore holds a master’s degree with honors (cum laude) in International Governance and Diplomacy, with a specialization in European Studies, from Sciences Po Paris. His Master’s professional training and Grand Oral focused on European Transport Policy, specifically examining sustainable transport projects and related regulations in the Western Balkans. He also completed an exchange program with a focus on International Political Economy at the University of Edinburgh. He earned his bachelor’s degree with honors in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) from LUISS Guido Carli University.
