Dalal is an Economist with the Social Protection and Jobs Global Practice at the World Bank, where she has been contributing to operations and technical assistance in the Middle East and North Africa region. Prior to joining the Bank as a Young Professional in 2018, she was completing her Ph.D. in economics at the Paris School of Economics in France and the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. She had also worked for the Bahrain Economic Development Board in her home country for three years and briefly at the International Trade Centre in Switzerland.
