Dana Alrayess is a Labor Economist within the Social Protection and Jobs Unit at the World Bank, focusing on the Middle East and North Africa. Dana currently works on project across the GCC, actively engaged in key areas such as female enablement, labor market information systems, technical and vocational education and training, interventions in the labor market, and the evolving realm of the future of work. Her portfolio includes the study and development of gender enablement policies throughout the GCC, driving initiatives in technical and vocational education and training, and collaborating closely with international labor market observatories. Prior to her current role, she comes from a background in monitoring and evaluation in the Europe and Central Asia region. Dana is a graduate of Georgetown University, holding a master’s degree in international development policy.
