Daniel Boller is Statistician at the World Bank, Development Economics Data Group. Daniel works on key data and development initiatives, including the World Development Indicators, the Atlas of Sustainable Development Goals, the World Bank Microdata Library, and World Bank Group Scorecard.
His main research interests include causal machine learning and experiments, statistical disclosure control of microdata, and innovative data sources; he is further engaged in major initiates on data governance and data quality control. Prior to the World Bank, Daniel lead projects in statistics and data science at the Swiss Institute for Empirical Economic Research and the Asian Development Bank.
Daniel studied economics and management sciences in Lucerne and Mainz (BSc), Cologne (MSc), and Stanford and St. Gallen (PhD).
