Dan Thompson works as a short-term consultant in the Resilient Health Systems Program at the World Bank’s Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). His current work seeks to improve countries’ capabilities to withstand health shocks and maintain healthcare delivery by developing a rapid assessment tool to help countries evaluate these capabilities. Dan is pursuing a doctorate at the University College London’s Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction (IRDR). He also holds a Master’s degree from Yale University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
