As Senior Transport Specialist at the World Bank (on secondment), Daniel E. Moser is supporting the set-up of the Global Facility to Decarbonize Transport (GFDT) trust fund in the Bank's Transport Global Practice. He is also involved in promoting and strengthening strategic linkages and collaborations between the World Bank Group’s transport-related activities and the German government as well as entertaining a thriving network of partners in governments, development banks, think tanks, civil society organizations, as well the private sector in the areas of sustainable transport, global advocacy in sustainable transport and transport finance. Daniel is further involved in advancing the World Bank's position on sustainable transport through research and analytical work, in particular on the transport-land use nexus, as well as on the future of shared mobility and public transport. Prior to joining the World Bank, Daniel was Head of the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative (TUMI). Daniel is an urban planner and sociologist/political scientist by education and holds a track record of +9 years in transportation, urban development and international and national politics.
