Daniel Gros is Director of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) since 2000. He holds a Ph.D. in
economics from the University of Chicago.
In the past Daniel worked at the IMF, collaborated with the European Commission as economic adviser
to the Delors Committee that developed plans for the EMU, and taught at several leading European
Universities. He has been member of high level advisory bodies to the French and Belgian governments
and was provided advice to numerous central banks and governments, including Greece, the UK and the
US at the highest level.
Daniel is also Vice-President of Eurizon Capital Asset Management since 2005, adviser to the European
Parliament, and a member of the expert advisory Groups of both the European Banking Authority (EBA)
and the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB).
He has published extensively on international monetary affairs in scientific journals and newspapers, is
the author of several books and editor of Economie Internationale and International Finance.
