Daniel Kull is a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist with the World Bank’s Global Practice for Urban, Resilience and Land, leading projects to strengthen disaster risk management in Europe and Central Asia.
Based in Geneva, Switzerland, Daniel also represents the World Bank in its institutional interactions with the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS). Before joining the World Bank, Daniel fulfilled various disaster risk management roles with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), ProVention Consortium, Swiss Reinsurance Company, Swiss Federal Institute for Technology (ETH) and US Army Corps of Engineers.
Daniel has a MSc in Water Resource Engineering (University of California, Davis) and a BSc in Civil Engineering (Union College, NY), and is a member of the Association of Swiss Natural Hazards Experts (FAN).
