Daniel Nogueira-Budny is a Senior Digital Development Specialist for Eastern and Southern Africa. He works on issues of digital public infrastructure (including digital ID), digital public platforms, and digital skills in Angola, Guinea-Bissau, and Sao Tome e Principe. Prior professional experience includes work at the Inter-American Development Bank, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and the Center for Development Studies at the Central University of Venezuela. Nogueira-Budny holds a Bachelor's degree from Columbia University, a Master's degree from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, and a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin.
