Daniela Marotta is a Senior Economist in the Office of the Regional Vice President for the Latin America and Caribbean region, where she is advising the Vice President on issues related to quality of operations, analytical and advisory services and regional strategy. Daniela has over 25 years of experience as development practitioner, economic advisor and consultant. Since joining the World Bank in 2006, she has been working on poverty and inclusion analysis, issues related to economic growth, international trade and foreign direct investment, firm productivity and innovation. Prior to her current position, Daniela has worked for the British Government as Economic Advisor in the GES (Government Economic Services) team, as business consultant at Andersen consulting group and in academia. Daniela has a PhD in economics from the University of Pavia in Italy, a MSc from University College of London and an undergraduate degree from Bocconi University, Milan.
