Daniela Romero is a Senior Health Economist of the Health, Nutrition and Population Global Practice of World Bank, for Latin America and the Caribbean, specialized in investment operations and the development of advisory services with extensive regional experience in the health sector in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and more recently in El Salvador.
She has more than 15 years of experience working on the preparation, supervision and evaluation of World Bank Group projects supporting innovative result-based financing mechanisms for health care in the Southern Cone of Latin America. Her project work has focused on improving access to quality health services for the most vulnerable, specially related to maternal and child health and non-communicable diseases. More recently, she has been leading the provision of further technical assistance in the area of NCDs and mental health in Paraguay and Uruguay.
Before joining the World Bank Group, Daniela worked at the National Directorate of Project with International Credit Organization of the Argentine Ministry of Economics.
