Daniela Ruiz Zárate was a consultant in the World Bank’s Poverty and Equity Global Practice. Her research interests include economic growth and development, structural transformation, labor economics, and globalization. She has also participated in projects with other international organizations, such as the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) of the United Nations. She currently works as an international economist in the Research Department of the Mexican Central Bank. She holds a master’s degree in specialized economic analysis on international trade, finance, and development from Pompeu Fabra University in Spain and a master’s degree in labor economics for development from the University of Turin and Sciences Po.
