David Alzate

David Alzate was a short-term consultant at the World Bank's Labor and Skills Global Solutions Group within the Social Protection and Labor practice. At the Bank, he contributed to analytical pieces on labor market regulations and digital work platforms, and coordinated a community of practice about informal microentrepreneurs. He also assisted Bank operations in Argentina and Maldives. David is now Senior Partnerships Manager at GiveDirectly, where he leads the nonprofit's strategic engagement with the World Bank and the U.S. government. He has also worked at USAID's Office of the Chief Economist and the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). He holds a Master's in Public Policy from Yale University and a B.S from Georgetown University.
