David Kaczan is a senior economist in the World Bank’s Environment, Natural Resources and Blue Economy Global Practice. He focuses on the economics of oceans, forests, climate change, and pollution, and their links to development. David completed a PhD in environmental and resource economics at Duke University, USA and an MSc in agricultural and resource economics at the University of Alberta, Canada. Originally from Australia, his work currently focuses on the East Asia Pacific region. He is based in the World Bank’s office in Jakarta, Indonesia.
