David Lord is a lead water specialist at the World Bank, based in Singapore, where he leads water sector engagements across South Asia. He brings over two decades of experience in water supply and sanitation, institutional reform, and development finance. His recent work focuses on transforming how water and sanitation services are delivered, including mobilizing private sector investment through bankable projects and innovative financing structures. Since joining the World Bank in 2012, he has worked across multiple regions in both operational and leadership roles, supporting governments and collaborating closely with development partners to create the enabling conditions for sustainable, inclusive, and financially resilient water sector solutions.
