David Sislen is a Practice Manager of Urban, Disaster Risk Management, and Land in the Latin America and the Caribbean region. Prior to this position, he was the Practice Manager for Urban and Disaster Risk Management for Europe and Central Asia at the World Bank, where he managed a team of 30 professionals and a portfolio of approximately $2 billion in commitments. He holds degrees in Economics and Geography from Johns Hopkins University and Macalester College (USA) and has worked extensively on issues of infrastructure, urban development, and decentralized service delivery in Europe, Latin America, Africa, and East Asia and the Pacific.
