Davinia Cogan researches the role of financial innovation in the energy access sector and is the lead author of Funding the Sun: New Paradigms for Financing Off-Grid Solar Companies. She is a programme manager at Energy 4 Impact, a nonprofit which seeks to reduce poverty through accelerated access to energy in sub-Saharan Africa, and a Research Affiliate of the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance at Cambridge Judge Business School.
Previously she held positions in investment management at ING Australia before moving out of the traditional finance sector and into the social impact investment space. She holds a M.A. in International Studies from the University of Sydney and a bachelor’s in business from the University of Technology – Sydney.
