Dean Cira is a Lead Urban Specialist with the World Bank. He currently is residing in Nairobi, Kenya where he has been lead urban specialist and program leader in the Africa Region since 2012. From 2008-2012, he led the World Bank's urban, water and disaster risk management sectors in Vietnam. Prior to this he worked across East Asia in urban development, water supply and sanitation and disaster risk management, and extensively throughout Latin America with the World Bank and the US Government on housing development and urban policy issues in the United States, mostly with the private and non-profit sector.
