Dhushyanth Raju serves as lead economist in the social policy department at the World Bank. In this role, he leads and contributes to lending operations, advisory services, and analytical work related to labor market and social welfare policies and programs in Europe and Central Asia. He previously held technical positions in the social protection and jobs department for the Africa region; the office of the chief economist and the education department for the South Asia region; and the global social protection and labor department and the global gender department. His research focuses on public economics, labor economics, risk and vulnerability, poverty, gender, and human development.
