Diane Davoine is a Program Officer for Better Work, a partnership between the IFC and the ILO that works to improve working conditions and competitiveness in the garment industry. She focuses on program management, designing and delivering advisory services that promote women’s empowerment and productivity, and supporting IFC investments to advance social and environmental outcomes in factories. Diane started her career in the financial sector, with experiences in private banking, asset management and microfinance. She was then part of the World Economic Forum’s Strategic Foresight Unit, where she developed and managed projects aimed at helping decision-makers address complex challenges, such as youth unemployment. Diane also worked with the World Bank’s Subnational Doing Business Unit, where she helped governments improve the business environment for small- and medium-sized enterprises. Diane holds a MA in International Economics from The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and a BA in International Affairs from the University of Geneva.
