Dief Reagen Nochi Faha is an economist with research interests in development economics and questions related to natural resources, governance, conflict, trade mis-invoicing, revenue mobilization, and growth. Nochi holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Center for Research in Economics & Management and a master’s in economic and financial engineering from the University of Rennes 1 ( France). Nochi also holds the qualification of assistant professor in economics.
Nochi is currently a lecturer in business and economics at Buckinghamshire University and a consultant at the World Bank for the Governance Global Practice. Prior to these positions, Nochi was a lecturer in economics at the University of Rennes 1 and the University of Le Mans in France. Dief was also a Research Fellow at the World Bank Governance Global Practice. He also worked as a consultant for IHS Markit covering the Central Africa region.
His research has been published in the European Journal of Development Research and in Resources Policy. Nochi is also a strong advocate of research transparency and reproducibility in social sciences and serves as Berkeley Initiative for Transparency in Social Sciences (BITSS) Catalyst.
