Diego Ubfal is a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s Gender Group, where he leads entrepreneurship and financial inclusion initiatives and coordinates the Gender Innovation Lab Federation. He also coordinates the Initiative for Fast-Tracking the implementation of the World Bank Group Gender Strategy in 16 countries. Before joining the World Bank, Diego was an Assistant Professor at Bocconi University. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Buenos Aires, a master’s degree from the University of San Andres, and a PhD from UCLA. As a Fulbright Scholar, he has taught Impact Evaluation and Development Economics at Bocconi and Columbia University. His research is available on his webpage.
