Dr. Dinesh Nair is a Senior Health Specialist with the Health Nutrition Population Global Practice in the World Bank. Currently based in Washington DC, Dinesh leads World Bank support for some of the Bank’s work in the South Asia Region and India in particular- to build resilient health systems. Over a 35 plus years career in health services across the globe, Dinesh has progressively moved from front line service provision to executive leadership at team and institutional level.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Dinesh was the Health Adviser with the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) covering India and Bangladesh. Dinesh also has rich experience of working with the Non-Government and the Public sector in India. Dinesh has a master’s degree in health administration from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India and graduated in Medicine from Calcutta, India. Dinesh has also received higher training in Industrial Health and Epidemiology and Surveillance.
