Divya Gupta has worked in International Development and Journalism for over 15 years. She has served as the National Coordinator for the UN Millennium Campaign in India, advocating for accelerated achievement of the Millennium Development Goals. As lead author of a 2014 UN Women report titled, "Hearts and Minds: Women of India Speak," she helped contribute to the shaping of the Post-2015 development discourse by highlighting the "lived realities" of women and girls across rural India. As a journalist, she has reported widely on contemporary development challenges in India and her articles and multimedia work have appeared in leading international and national news platforms. She is also the recipient of the 2012 UNFPA "Laadli Award for Gender Sensitivity," for profiling an NGO's success in reducing infant and maternal mortality. Currently, she is a Knowledge and Communications consultant with the World Bank Urban Team in the India Country Office. She has an MA in International Affairs from School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University and an MS in Journalism from Columbia University.
