Djekombe Rony is an experienced Social Protection Specialist, with almost a decade of expertise in providing technical assistance and leading policy dialogues for a wide range of lending and non-lending projects within the field of social protection. His skillset spans analytics and advisory services for the Bank’s investment financing and development policy operations. Rony has worked on programs across Africa, including in Chad, DRC, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Sahel. His primary focus areas include social registries, digital delivery systems, refugees and host communities and poverty alleviation. He has been instrumental in shaping social protection policies, and establishing inclusive, sustainable systems aimed at enhancing service delivery, reducing poverty and inequality, and improving productive activities. Rony holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Development Economics and an additional MSc in Management of Development Projects, both from the Clermont-Ferrand School of Economics (CERDI) in France.
