Senior Health Specialist

Djibrilla Karamoko is Senior Health Specialist at the World Bank’s Health, Nutrition and Population team for West and Central Africa region, based in Brazzaville.  Djibrilla has over 20 years of experience in human development focusing on health services management, financing, systems strengthening, and multi-sectoral interventions for public health issues like malnutrition, HIV/AIDS, malaria, and non-communicable diseases. He joined the Bank in 2019 leading various projects supporting West and Central African countries. Djibrilla has worked in fragile settings such as Niger, Chad, Mali, Mauritania and Burkina Faso and is a core team member of the Sub-Saharan Africa Women's Empowerment and Demographic Dividend (SWEDD+) Project. He holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Niamey, Niger, and a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Montreal, Canada.
