Doris Mwikali is a policy consultant at UNESCO and has extensive experience as a lawyer and education advocate within the United Nations framework. From 2022 to 2023, Doris served as the Youth Constituency Representative on the UNESCO SDG4 High-Level Steering Committee. She led the 'Youth Declaration' process, presented at the 2022 United Nations Transforming Education Summit, capturing the voices of 450,000 youth from over 170 nations. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in advancing the 133 United Nations Country Commitments established at the summit.

Doris has also contributed significantly as an Education Programs Coordinator at UNICEF. In this role, she supported Namibia, Sierra Leone, Thailand, and Uzbekistan youth to influence education policies addressing sustainability challenges, such as climate change.

Beyond her roles at the United Nations, Doris serves on the International Panel on Social Progress advisory board and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Center Youth Advisory board, advocating for the power of education in addressing global sustainability challenges. Her legal expertise provides a robust foundation for her policy and advocacy work, underscoring her unwavering commitment to education.
