Dr. Andrea Cattaneo is a Senior Economist at the Food and Agriculture Organization and Team Leader of its annual flagship publication “The State of Food and Agriculture”. He has over 25 years of experience and an extensive publication record in peer-reviewed journals on economic issues relating to development, food security, and climate change. In recent years his focus has been on migration, resilience of food systems, and the role of rural-urban linkages in rural transformation. He previously held positions at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Woods Hole Research Center.
