Dr. Sarferaz Waziry is an Animal Health Coordinator for the National Horticulture and Livestock Project (NHLP) for the World Bank in Afghanistan. Prior to taking up this role, he worked with several national and international organizations including the National Area Based Development Program(NABDP)/Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD), UNFAO, ICRC, Stability in Key Area (SIKA) North /DAI/USAID, CHF International, ICARDA and GAF. Dr. Waziry is a noted academician and has worked as a lecturer in the Veterinary Faculty at Kabul University as well as Nangarhar University. He graduated from the department of Veterinary Medicine at Kabul University as a ‘Doctor of Veterinary Medicine’, followed by a Masters in Science (M.Sc) in Bacteriology, specializing in brucellosis.
