Dr Stephen Yeo is a flood risk management specialist based in Sydney, Australia. He has been conducting research in this field in Australia and Pacific Island countries since 1994, with a first hand experience of a major flood in Fiji in 1997. Stephen has served the WBG as a STC since 2014, initially following a disastrous flood in the Solomon Islands. He also provides expertise to the Hawkesbury-Nepean Flood Risk Management Directorate within Infrastructure NSW, and assists larger consultancies to prepare Floodplain Risk Management Studies and Plans for local councils in NSW. He enjoys the diversity of challenges that work in such varied contexts presents.
