Durreh has 10 years of experience working in the energy sector across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the US. She has facilitated over $1.2 billion of public and private financing in energy projects. Durreh is currently an Associate Investment Officer in the Global Infrastructure department at IFC, working in private sector investments in cutting-edge renewable energy technologies, sustainable transport, and circular economy. She has previously worked with IBRD Energy Practice in a number of transformative projects focusing on energy access, competitive auctions for utility scale solar, transmission and distribution.

Prior to joining World Bank Group, Durreh worked in her family business in Bangladesh where she led a start-up operation focusing on energy efficiency and distributed generation. Durreh holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London, and an MBA from Cornell University.
