Dzung Huy Nguyen is a Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist at the Work Bank Vietnam Office. He has been engaging not only in the disaster risk management but in agriculture development, irrigation engineering, water resources management, urban, transport, energy and social protection to promote and leverage climate and disaster resilience in sector policy development and investments. Prior to joining the World Bank in 2011, he spent 4 years at the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center and the Mekong River Commission Secretariat, working on the flood risk management in the Lower Mekong River Basin countries of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, and Vietnam. Before that, he served 7 years as a Water Engineer at the Department of Dyke Management and Flood Control (the Vietnam Disaster Management Authority as of today) of the Vietnamese Government.
