Ebenezer Offei Ansah is a Agriculture Economist with the Agriculture and Food Global Practice for West and Central Africa at the World Bank since 2024, contributing to both operations and analytics. In his operations role, Eben is engaged in the Ghana Tree Crop Diversification Project and the West Africa Food Systems Resilience Program. On the analytical side, he is involved in Cocoa Sector Modernization and Governance Reform Strategy, and Value Chain Analysis with Deep Dives for selected value chains. Before joining the World Bank, he held various research-based positions for several organizations including the African Futures Project, World Reader, and DAI Global. His significant achievements include publishing a paper on Sustainable Cocoa Certification Programs in Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems and being named one of the ten finalists in the Barilla Center for Food and Nutrition Young Earth Solutions (BCFN YES!) competition in 2017. Eben holds a PhD in Agricultural and International Development from Michigan State University.
